About the Team

The Hurricanes Marksmanship Program uses individual and team shooting sports to help develop the character qualities of commitment, discipline, focus, respect, responsibility, safety, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a strong work ethic in the lives of our student athletes.

Get to Know Our Team

The Marksmanship program focuses on preparing student athletes for competitive rifle and pistol shooting. Scoring considers accuracy, but may also be based on a combination of accuracy and speed. Weekly practices prepare the athlete for multi-disciplined matches designed for either slow-fire accuracy, action steel, or practical and defensive action matches designed to combine the skills of accuracy and speed.
